|Naveen K. Rao, MD attended Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. He served his Ophthalmology residency at the Casey Eye Institute/Oregon Health and Science University in Portland, Oregon. Subsequently, Dr. Rao persued fellowship training in Cornea/Anterior Segment/External Disease at Tufts Medical Center and Ophthalmic Consultants of Boston. He has been practicing since then in the Boston area, at Lahey Medical Center, and specializes in complex cataract surgery, intrascleral haptic fixation, lamellar keratoplasty, and anterior segment reconstruction. He is Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at Tufts University School of Medicine and is the Lahey residency program director for the Tufts ophthalmology residents. Dr. Rao is a member of the Young Eye Surgeons clinical committee of ASCRS, a member of the ONE Network Cataract Committee of AAO, and a board examiner for the American Board of Ophthalmology. He is also medical director for Lions VisionGift East, the eye bank of Boston.
